Ministry of Interior Demonary
The Ministry is the responsible department for investigating and stimulating Pendar’s reoccurring intentions for depicting demons, monsters, and other damned creatures. The collection consists of detailed sketches and illustrated characters often made during intensive and boiling doodling sessions.
The project is ongoing since the early 2000s. These sketches have been archived and almost never presented in public since then. These characters are unique and original works by the artist since they delve through lucid emotional and self-reflective thoughts and feelings.

This project is part of a larger research about demon depiction which the artist is conducting together with his partner. The research focuses on the history of demon depiction, its reasons, and the variety of several motives in different artists in picturing demons and monsters. The project looks at historical and ancient references around the world, as well as different religions, beliefs, folkloric tales, mythologies, and superstitions. It also analyzes contemporary examples.
The illustration of demons and monsters is quite present and visible among many NFT artists. It appears that picturing demons and monsters has a mentally healing effect among the artists.
